Scottish Secondary Schools Champions!

The Scottish Secondary Schools Championships were held in Linlithgow at the weekend and some of Salle Ossian fencers were there to represent their schools.  Kate and SJ were first and second in the girls over 16 event and Toby and Sam took gold an silver in the boys under 14 category.  Kate also won the girls foil and girls epee to also win overall master of arms award.  The all Salle Ossian finals were a delight to watch and their respective schools should be very proud of their amazing performances.

Sam and Toby stay in the race

Toby Carter and Sam McLellan are club mates but are learning fast how to compete. A couple of weeks ago it was Sam who won the Scottish Fencing U15 qualifier. This week, Toby won their closely fought semi-final. Next week? Who knows? But they are proving to be great training partners. Toby took silver and managed to pick up an injury that will see him out of action for a few weeks. We wish him a speedy recovery. We’re loving the new Salle Ossian tracksuits by the way.
